About Sarah Kim

Sarah Kim, an accomplished violinist, has built an impressive career over the past two decades, starting her musical journey at the age of five. Her dedication is highlighted by a rigorous performance schedule and numerous prestigious accolades, including first prizes in several renowned string competitions. Sarah's notable achievements include winning the annual Concerto Competition with the National Philharmonic Orchestra for three consecutive years, and being a finalist in the University of Maryland Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Her exceptional talent has earned her first-place awards at multiple prestigious competitions, such as the International Concerto Competition at the American Fine Arts Festival and the American Protégé International Concerto Competition.

Sarah's musical journey has taken her to esteemed venues such as Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, and the Library of Congress Coolidge Auditorium, among others.

She has also participated in masterclasses with renowned professors and ensembles, further honing her craft. As a previous concertmaster with the Peabody Youth Orchestra and the Peabody Young Artist Orchestra, Sarah has been recognized with the Peabody Preparatory Dean’s Recognition Achievement Award and has received her Advanced Music Certificate in Violin. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Maryland with a full merit scholarship, studying under Dr. James Stern.

Sarah is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Sarah has a wonderful local community with many great friends and lives a simple life. She continues to enjoy playing when she is called on for local and national performances.
